Integration Setup: Megaphone

For current users of Megaphone wanting to include their account data in Pressboard reports, the steps outlined below can be followed.

Depending on your existing setup with Megaphone, there are two different ways we can establish the connection. Please review the requirements and scenarios below to determine the correct path for your team.

What are the requirements for enabling this Integration? 

  • You must have an Enterprise-level license with Megaphone. We suggest verifying this with your Megaphone administrator before requesting the integration.
  • Once you have confirmed your licence level, please reach out to our CS team to initiate the activation process.

Setting Up Your Megaphone Integration

The setup process is determined by whether you are already exporting your Megaphone data to a cloud storage bucket.

If you are NOT currently exporting Megaphone data to an S3 bucket:

In this case, our Product Team will create a dedicated landing spot for your data.

  • We will create an S3 bucket exclusively for your Megaphone account data and share the credentials with you.
  • You are required to share these credentials with the Megaphone Support team. Notify Megaphone via Live Chat or email (support-megaphone@spotify.com); they will provide a link to 1Password where you can securely upload the credentials. Important: Do not send credentials via Live Chat or email.
  • After Megaphone receives the credentials, they will confirm access and activate the metrics export.
  • We will confirm receipt of the files and finalize the connection in your account's Data Sources.

If you ARE already ingesting Megaphone data into an internal S3 bucket:

Because Megaphone cannot send data to multiple buckets simultaneously, we will help you configure a data sync from your existing bucket to ours.

  • Our team will provide you with our Account ID, ARN and Region.
  • You (or your data administrator) will need to create an IAM role within your cloud environment to manage the data transfer permissions.
  • You will need to provide us with the IAM role so that our team can apply it to our bucket.
  • You will then need to configure the final data sync to point to our bucket.
